Your Experience Begins With a Conversation

Every Velvet REIN experience begins by getting to know you, your horse, and what you hope these photographs will preserve.

Whether you already know exactly what you want or are still deciding which experience feels right, your consultation with Kimberly is a place to talk through your vision, your horse, your questions, and the details that matter to you.

There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out.

You can begin with the simplest thing:

Tell Kimberly about your horse.

What to Expect

A Conversation Before the Camera

A Velvet REIN session is intentionally personal.

Before photographs are created, Kimberly wants to understand the relationship, personality, and story behind them.

Your consultation gives you the opportunity to talk through what you are imagining, ask questions, discuss your horse, and determine which photography experience best fits what you want to create.

You do not need to know how to pose.

You do not need to know which photographs you want.

You do not need to have every detail planned.

Kimberly will guide you through the process.

Not Sure Yet?

You Do Not Have to Choose Before We Talk

Sometimes you know you want photographs with your horse but are not yet sure what kind of experience you are looking for.

That is completely fine.

You may want something quiet and intimate.

You may want movement and performance.

You may want portraits centered entirely on your horse.

Or you may simply know that this chapter of your life deserves to be preserved.

The consultation is where those ideas can begin to take shape.

You Are Not Expected to Know How to Be Photographed

Many people arrive believing they are not comfortable in front of a camera.

Kimberly does not expect you to know how to pose, where to stand, what to do with your hands, or how to create a meaningful moment on command.

Her role is to guide when guidance is helpful and recognize when the real moment is already happening.

The goal is not to make you look like someone else.

It is to create enough comfort for you to become fully present with the horse beside you.

“I do not want the photograph to feel like it was taken. I want it to feel like it was revealed.”

Kimberly

Strength. Vulnerability. Presence.
